Cambridge: Kitchen Design
From the client’s perspective:

“When I decided to re-design my kitchen a good friend in Colchester recommended I call Sandy.

“I was wanting a very bold and contemporary look to my open-plan room; I wanted something dramatic but low maintenance as I have two teenage boys and a busy lifestyle. Sandy asked a lot of questions that probed how we live as a family and how we don’t use all that we have, such as the garden, which got very little attention. Sandy’s knowledge was impressive and her ideas were so creative and included the garden. She suggested a total change of layout to improve the use of the space and to bring the outside inside, flooding the room with light and air.

“She had her team of tradesmen undertake all the necessary alterations, which included blocking up the old outside door, creating the fully opening sliding patio doors onto the same level patio, that then steps down onto the remaining paved walkway, which leads to the shaped flower bed and studio room at the end. I loved her ideas.

“The cupboards are a fantastic colour and texture, and every unit has such easy action including the lift-up wall-unit doors which I love. I also love the wonderful Corian® worktop with its sink that’s moulded into the surface. The plain white is so striking and the light bounces from it. I even have a dropped end on the island to use as my occasional coffee area, with comfy chairs for rainy and cold days spent in the warm, looking out over my garden.

“It’s a great room and I thank Sandy for her innovation and good humour.”
