From the client’s perspective:

“I bought the house because of the open-plan living space, but the kitchen was very pokey with only enough space for two people – and there was nowhere to sit and eat apart from the dining area at the rear of the living room.

“I really enjoy cooking and entertaining, and was considering extending to the back of the property for more space. When Sandy came to the house she came up with the solution instantly and made me very excited by her ideas, passion and enthusiasm.

“I had never had building work done before, so Sandy explained the process fully so I didn’t have unrealistic expectations. Extending to the side has made the kitchen wider, and it feels more spacious and inviting. The ground floor of my home feels huge as the living room now flows straight into the kitchen.

“I wanted the kitchen to be light, bright and an easy space to live within. Sandy put together colours that I could see were going to work; I knew they would be easy to live with because of the neutral shades and how well the light reflects from the surfaces.

“The layout is superb, with all the storage and appliances I could want and everything to hand. I also have somewhere funky to sit, eat, work and casually entertain. It’s great. My little big kitchen.

“I love the space, and so do my friends and family – plus it has the ‘wow’ factor which is the icing on the cake.”
